The adverts themselves were based on
a series of facts about Chlamydia. The 'dice' advert reinforced the
statistic that 1 in 10 under 25s had tested positive for Chlamydia.
Whilst the 'nightclub' advert highlighted that it was impossible to
identify a person who had the infection.
Both of the adverts were hugely successful in engaging the young target audience, some of which took part in a series of focus groups that confirmed the campaign's effectiveness. A spin off flyer campaign was also developed to target freshers week at Derby University during October 2008, using a series of cheeky headlines.
And by basing the entire identity on a simple three colour palette, we not only created a brand that was instantly recognisable. It also helped NHS Derbyshire to reduce their costs in producing the printed materials in such large numbers. The entire campaign could be printed in two or three colour rather than full colour. Helping to maximise the investment in the campaign. Great stuff!
