Insider E-Magazine

  • Branding

Mansfield District Council were keen to develop a modern editorial format for Insider. Publishing the magazine electronically meant that the remaining budget could be invested into the new design.

Insider needed to feature several fixed templates as well as having the flexibility so that each issue could be altered easily. Combine this with feature pages, photography and publishing deadlines and it’s easy to see how things can start to get ever so slightly hectic!

The new version displays exactly as it would if it were a printed magazine but now has zero production cost. And what’s more, the magazine also contributes to the council’s Corporate Social Responsibilty policy. Less printing means less environmental impact on the wider world.

So with the development of new technology such as iPads and similar devices, this type of virtual publishing is now gaining popularity and is certainly worth considering for any business interested in a low cost publishing option.
